Don't buy this! August 16, 2008

Purchased this item for my mother's 80th birthday. Worked great for a two-week time period. Screen went black and now does not work at all. Without the receipt she is unable to send it back for repair under warranty and it's not worth paying more for repair than the picture frame cost!

I received my Curtis DPF712 for Christmas, and I have been trying to get it to work on a jump drive. NO GO - I then got a SD card, loaded the pix and put it into the frame and it started to work just fine. It will do a slide show from the SD card and it will play music from a jump drive, but not both at the same time. I will keep playing around and maybe I will get it to do that also. If I do I will leave a new report. It sits beside me and just keeps on with the slide show. Mine was also puchased at an ACE Hardware after Thanksgiving.

Plugged it in and inserted a memory can and we were off watching slide shows. Works great, but the screen resolution isn't the best. Wonderful for being the price it is.

Purchased this product from Ace Hardware after Thanksgiving and it never worked. The screen will say loading and then it just goes black. Curtis says that they will try to fix it, but you have to pay to ship it to Canada and pay the shipping back to you and it is 6 to 8 weeks for a repair. So much for our great Christmas gift! Take my advice and stay away from Curtis products!
