Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Beware   July 1, 2008

I would like to warn anyone interested in this magazine that their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. I ordered the magazine months ago, haven't received an issue after 5 months, and numerous phone calls to their customer service number-- which is only a voice mail-- have gone unanswered. To date, I'm out my money and have no magazine. I'm hoping Amazon sees fit to refund my money.

1 out of 5 stars Not all homeschoolers are religious   June 18, 2007

If you are homeschooling your children for religious reasons, this magazine may be a fit for you. However, if you are one of many parents homeshooling your children for other reasons, find another magazine. This publication, like many materials dedicated to homeschooling, is rife with religious influence. I can not recommend an alternative because I've yet to find one that does not have its roots in Christian fundamentalism. (I mean no disrespect to Christians with this review. It was meant to warn others from making a purchase they may regret if they are not of that religious belief.)

*

A Taste of the Trivium. Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric. This is the formal Trivium in the classical sense. This formal Trivium is an academic reflection of the more basic Biblical Trivium, the mental capacities of Knowledge, Understanding, and Wisdom. Join some of the best writers in Classical Education as we explore ways to foster a Christian worldview in our children.

*

Bringing History to Life uncovers hard-to-find personal accounts and period literature from diaries, newspapers, letters, speeches and official documents of the past.

* The Laboratory. Sound biblically-based science lessons, one of the hardest things for homeschoolers to find.

Even more important for Christian parents: these original sources illustrate the Christian spirit that used to be part of American life (and can be again one day).
