When it has came down to electronics, we're seeing more electonic recharging batteries. But otherwise, they definitely waste a lot more money on electricity, when you keep them plugged in the A/C outlets. But for those whom have a MP3 Player or Blackberry, there best bets are usually plugging them into a computer to recharge their battery life. But, there is always another option and Duracell simply knows that feeling with their Instant USB Charger. It is simple and easy to use. Just plug it into your computers' USB adapter and it simply can be recharged in no time flat. The Duracell Instant USB Charegr works great with any device whether it is your Apple Ipod or Blackberry phone. It definitely works very well. My favorite thing about it, is that you can still operate your favorite MP3 Player, like my Sandisk Sansa Fuze MP3 Player, while it is recharging. Something you wouldn't be able to do if you have your player is charged by your laptop computer. I absolutely recommend this as a great buy for anyone who loves their Apple Iphone, or MP3 Player, and needs a quick charge on the go when they can't find a great way of doing it anywhere else.

I ride a road bicycle for endurance cycling events. I use the Duracell Charger to keep the my Garmin bike computer from completely discharging its own internal battery while I'm riding. It works very well. Nice and small and light and does the job. Excellent product.

I was very impressed with the size of this device. It's simple to operate and works as advertised. The versatility of the Instant Power battery is great since it can be used with virtually anything that can be powered over USB. That being said, I would like to see more power packed into the battery. At 1150 mAh, the device is completely depleted after I charge my phone so I can't charge my other devices.

Versatile Portable USB Charger June 3, 2010

I have a simple Tracfone Motorola phone (model W260g) which I am quite happy with except for one feature. I cannot recharge the phone through a USB cable from my computer. There is no matching driver for the phone to allow charging by computer.

Here comes the Duracell Instant USB Charger to the rescue.

This charger, with the included cable works fine with the Motorola w260g phone.

Now I can keep the Duracell Charger with Lithium ion battery charged via my computer, then when needed, use the charger to charge my phone whenever I need to. Another use I can see is when driving. Right now I use a GPS and sometimes my phone's battery runs low. What I do is swap the cigarette lighter chargers of my GPS and phone to keep each device juiced. Now, with the Duracell charger, I can use this exclusively for my mobile phone and just leave the gps plugged in with it's own cigarette lighter charger.

What I like:

- works as advertised (computer charges battery, battery charges portable device, simple)

- compact size (about 3 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, 1/3 inch tall)

- visual indicators tell when being charged, operating and battery status

- on/off switch to conserve the battery during storage

- Duracell is a household brand

What I don't like:

- pricey, almost $30

- would have been nice if it came with a small case (to solve that, I bought a small
camera case at a dollar store)

Overall, I really like the Duracell USB Charger. Hope it lasts for years to come.
