These speakers are the only ones you'll ever need to lull yourself into a relaxing, peaceful sleep. They are extremely comfortable, and when inserted into your pillow case, you won't realize they exist. These are the greatest idea and the most comfortable stereo pillow speakers I have ever owned. Because of their compact design, they are easily transportable for vacations, business trips, etc. enabling you to get a good night's rest any where you go. I love them and can't live without them. I am going to purchase another set for myself, and possibly several more to give as gifts.

I absolutely love this pillow speaker! This is the second one I've purchased, as I wore out the first one after several years. My wife doesn't want to hear music while drifting off to sleep, so this speaker allows me to fall asleep to soft music every night and not disturb her. This speaker is an essential item when traveling!
I just ordered a second one for my son so I don't have to hear his music blaring when he goes to bed.

I got this to save my marriage. LOL OK, not really, but since hitting "a certain age" I've struggled with chronic insomnia that's only helped by having soft music or ocean sounds playing at night. Unfortunately, my husband can't tolerate any noise when he's trying to sleep, not even white noise.
I researched several types of pillow speakers before settling on this one. I've been using it for about a week now and love it. I didn't tell my husband I had it, just to see if I could use it without his hearing it, and he didn't!
I plug it into my mp3 player, set my ocean sounds album to repeat, and let it run. When I inevitably wake up at 2 a.m. with my mind racing or stuck on a dumb song, the soft white noise puts me right back to sleep. Music will be muffled, which is fine for me - for me to sleep to music it has to be almost subliminal.
It's flat so I don't feel it under my pillow, and the double speakers are handy because I'm a flip-flopper, so no matter which side I roll to, there's a speaker under my ear. Love this thing, highly recommend it.

So, I have used pillow speakers for over 20 years. Mostly used various Radio Shack speakers. After a year or two the wires would break and I would have to buy another one. No big deal when they are under $10.
This speaker is really two stereo speakers in a enclosure. The enclosure keeps it from sliding which I find very useful. My only speakers would be on the floor in the morning on occasion. Also when it would slide it would stress the cable.
With this speaker, I tuck about 1 ft of cord into the enclosure to releave stress at the speaker and so far the cable stays put. This should help with the wire breakage. Time will tell.
The sound is also much better than the Radio Shack version.
Overall, worth it. A+

From AMAZON MARKETPLACE: Took this PILLOWSONIC PILLOW SPEAKER out of packaging > plugged into stereo > NO SOUND > a short or cheap wiring & manufacture. If we wiggled & pressed on plug & cord, sound came on and off. I've had a better one, by other manufacturer, with added feature of volume control on the cord.
