I purchased this to use with my TomTom XL and it a nice quality. I like how this looks (and I am picking about my car looking good). My only complaint is that the suction cup has to be used. My boyfriend has another product (not as good as TomTom :-) and his beanbag dashboard device has a plastic peice that connects to his GPS unit. If you touch the suction cup (which I always do) the oils affect the seal and it will fall off.

Now the design and the quality of this dashboard mount is good. I do recommend it to everyone. I only wish that TomTom would make a dashboard mount that connected to the GPS device itself bypassing the suction cup.

I purchased this GPS for my husband after trying to look at maps while on vacation this past summer. By the time I get my reading glasses out, find the right page of the map and look for an alternate route I realized we needed a GPS system. We have only experimented locally but are happy with it so far. It adjusted when I went a different route and recalculated on it's own so I don't have to worry about pushing buttons while driving. I wish the screen was larger but I probably shouldn't be looking at that while driving anyway!

This works but I don't think it is made for the 4.3 inch GPS that I have. It must be for the smaller one because my GPS doesn't fit well into the center of the mount. It would probably work for the smaller one however. Seems like that should have been clarified before I purchased it.

Useless when it's cold January 1, 2009

The TomTom attaches to this with suction and when it's cold, the suction doesn't work. It attaches initially but then the cold makes the rubbery plastic shrink and it falls off, often with the GPS unit still attached! I tossed the box or I would return it!

When it's not especially cold, it works but I haven't had the chance to try it in very warm weather. I suspect it will be ok but not being able to use it 1/4 of the year makes this a fail for me.
