Avoid this cradle December 12, 2008

Nice looking cradle but not reliable, my windows vista pc only ever recognised the cradle once and I was never able to synch with itunes or charge my ipod. Audio works fine but remote worked for one day. You get what you pay for in this department and I'll avoid Insten in the future. You should too.

I've had this for about a month. It works just fine as a docking station, and is a lot cheaper than other options out there. However, in less than a month, my remote has stopped working. I will try getting new batteries for it and see if that fixes the problem, but a month seems pretty short for battery life. Because I purchased this with the remote as a "bonus" feature, I still consider the purchase not a total loss, and will continue to use it.

I had written a review when I got this item. Very annoyingly when I actually tried using it to charge, etc. it did NOT WORK!! I don't know if this whole product is faulty but I DO NOT recommend this product. Disregard the 3 stars I rate this one or zero!

I bought this item to use in my shop to hook my ipod into my sound systemInsten - Black Cradle v3.0 with Remote and Dock Plates for Apple iPod 40GB, 60GB, iPod nano (Gen 1 & 2), iPod mini 4GB, 6GB, iPod (video) 30GB, 60GB, 80GB, iPod Video U2 Special Edition, iPod 1 20GB, 30GB, iPod 20GB w/ Click wheel, iPod photo U2 Special..., When I received it, it was DOA. I contacted the seller and they told me to return it for exchange. After a couple of weeks, when I had not heard back from them, I contacted them again. I was shuffled around from department to department and finally reached someone in authority who agreed to just refund my Paypal account and stop all the confusion. The product, BAD! The customer relations, Good!! I would buy from the company again but not the same product.

buyer beware

i bought a similar looking dock from a grocery store for 20 bucks.

this price is so inflated and i can't imagine why

dont be stupid, buy a different dock.
