I have the 2nd Gen iPod Touch. I had to upgrade my car kit and I picked this one because of the looks. I was afraid it wasn't going to work completely with the 2nd Gen iPod Touch but it does. The remote works great also. It's not a very strong remote so you will have to point it directly at the unit from about a foot away. I love how I could use this iPod without having to take my case off of it. This unit compresses in on the sides and holds the iPod firmly in place.

I only wish the LCD display showed the station numbers better or bolder. It almost looks a little faded like old LCD panels when they get cold. They should also offer a longer cigarette lighter stem.

I give it 5 Stars because it looks great and the remote is cool.

Bought my daughter an IPod for her birthday. She picked out this car charger but was really having problems with how her IPod fit in it and was afraid it would break something. Also, had trouble getting the remote to work. She no longer uses this charger.

I almost bought a 2nd one for my lady's car, I liked it so much. Solid and attractive, it's available with an extension for an even roomier fit. But it is the customer service that gives the unit an 'A.' I had a problem that turned out to be my lighter, but they had sent a replacement before I could figure out that it wasn't the unit! Excellent company.
