can't believe there are so few functions January 9, 2009

I have the 956

I am sooo disappointed by this. I am returning it. The sound is not that great. There are only 4 settings in EQ!!! My iPod has more options for sound than this!!! The bass doesn't get that powerful. The subwoofer is weak on its highest setting.

Disappointing that the wireless speakers have wires!!!

Panasonic SC-PT960 Deluxe 5 DVD Home Theater System
We bought this home theater in a box system from Panasonic to go with a 46" Samsung LCD we purchased for a home theater in our basement. Set-up of the system was pretty easy, as the instructions were reasonably clear and everything was well marked. The sound is great. Our only complaint is that there are so many options and making changes sometimes requires some hunting to find the right place to make them. I guess that goes with the territory in the more complicated digital TV/sound experience.

The SC-PT960 is a great system at a low price. The wireless system is easy to set up and works well with both the rear speakers and additional speakers in another room.
