5 out of 5 stars Great concept, product, and service   January 8, 2009
R. Needham (Birmingham, AL USA)
First of all, this is an excellent idea. I don't think anyone will argue against that. Secondly, these guys ship FAST. I got mine promptly, even after having ordered during the week between Christmas & New Years.
Finally, I've never seen such excellent customer service. I did discover a small issue with my set when it arrived on Saturday afternoon (could easily have happened in shipping) and emailed Arriva customer service right then. Get this: They responded within the hour, on a Saturday, and immediately shipped me a replacement. Try getting Sony to do that.
Oh, and if you're looking for workout music, they have a link on their website to some workout mixes with fixed BPM.
Highly recommended product & company!

5 out of 5 stars great product   January 7, 2009

Great product with great customer service.
When I first got these I was disappointed with the fit, they wouldn't stay in my ears. Then I realized I was putting them on upside-down! (I should always follow my father's advice - "read the book") Once I read the instructions and put them on right, they were a perfect fit. I ran with them and didn't have to worry about tucking cords into my shirt or behind my back. I haven't had a problem with sweat getting into the shuffle, although I don't sweat much in the first place I just leave some of my hair between the arriva and my neck just in case(I know that's not a solution for everyone but just a suggestion for those who can take advantage).

3 out of 5 stars Not bad, but NOT cordless   January 5, 2009
Alex D. Mansfield
This is a funny product. I will admit that the item is exactly as it looks in the picture. I just didn't believe that it would be based on the description. It is called "cordless" so assumed that there were no cords. Instead, it is just that the cords are very short. The ipod sits on the back of your head and the cords go directly over to your ears. Sound quality is good. However, I will not be able to use it the way I planned. I bought it for skiing and boating, thinking that by being "cordless" I could keep the ipod well protected in my pocket without hassling with cords. Instead the ipod would actually be more exposed to the elements. Just be aware.

5 out of 5 stars Best Gadget in the World!   December 31, 2008
Yennta (L.A., CA)
Well, maybe there are other good gadgets, but I have weird ears and ordinary headphones won't stay in them. None. Nothing.

I also have some mild ADD that keeps me from focusing on boring projects, housework, etc. Thanks to these headphones, I can listen to audio books while I work perfectly on auto-pilot without the extra noise from my brain scattering my energies.

These headphones stay on my head and in my ears whether I'm washing the car or washing my face. I can work out without boredom. When I clean house, upstairs, downstairs, in the yard, there's no headphones dropping off me, and no volume to control on speakers (driving the neighbors crazy).

I LOVE THESE THINGS. Thanks, folks, for inventing them.

1 out of 5 stars Terribly Disappointed   November 17, 2008

I was terribly disappointed with this product. As an exercise enthusiast I was drawn in by the concept and sold by the great reviews. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience.

The headphones feel cheaply made and I was unimpressed by the flimsy construction. According to the sticker that came stamped on them they were made in China. The instructions that were included with the product were printed in black and white on a single sheet of paper and they actually recommend augmenting the headphones with a piece of scotch tape if you plan on sweating while wearing them. While this left me with an unprofessional first impression, I was still excited to give these things a whirl.

The first "whirl" lasted about 30 minutes into my first cardio session with them. Despite my constant fidgeting, I couldn't get each ear to stay in place while running. I thought I had them comfortably secure going into it, but once I began sweating the ear buds continually slipped out. None the less, I was determined to make it work. I tried attaching the different ear bud sizes and kept reshaping them, trying to get them to fit, but to little avail. Somewhere during this process one of the headphones gave out -- permanently.

I decided to give them another shot while lifting, although this just led to me taking a 10 minute break in my routine to try (and fail) to get them to fit comfortably.

At least the return process was easy.

While I don't doubt that some people have enjoyed these, I strongly caution those of you who are on the fence about purchasing a pair of your own. Look elsewhere. You can get a much higher quality for the price.
