Broke immediately, suction cup bad. January 6, 2009

The suction cup is too rigid and would not stay attached. After two days of frustration the entire thing broke while attaching it to my windshield. The lever that pulls the vacum sheared and broke. Pay the money and get a real mount.

The cradle for holding the pod is great.The gooseneck is great. The suction cup for attaching the assmbly to your windshield is terrible. The nice thing is, the kit includes an adapter that has a peel n' stick back so you can put this almost anywhere in your car. But the suction cup does'nt stick to that either. There are enough good things to make me want to make this work. I'll probably end up glueing it.

You Get What You Pay For December 21, 2008

This is a convenient device, and I actually appreciated it for the short while it worked. The first problem came when the foam that protects the phone fell off. This was an easy fix- a little super glue did the trick.

The next problem came when the expansion spring-like vise that holds the phone snug began to act up. When you put the phone in, you open the vise, place the phone in, and then snug it up. After a couple of months, this became a difficult manuever, with the vise getting jammed regularly.

The final straw was when the suction cup stopped working properly, leaving me with the entire setup falling down at the most inopportune times. Strike three, into the landfill you go.

A piece of junk, but you may enjoy it for a couple of months before it falls apart. I'm looking for something better.

this little mount is perfect for the iPhone 3g. I use it in my Mazda Protege5 and it has no issues with falling off my windshield. For the price, its spot on...get this if you want to have hands free ability and know that your phone is secure
