this portable sounddock was a christmas gift. i own a bose 321 thats 5 years old and i absolutely love it. The 321 was worth every penny but this on the other hand was not. it seems just too small to have great sound. the design and portability is nice but i expected much more from the 'bose' sound. maybe i'm just spoiled by my 321. i'd pay no more than $200 for this. i'm thinking about the altec im7 after i return this. spend your $400 else where. By the way i did own a jbl radial loudspeaker that crapped out on me. good luck in your search for quality audio!

I received this Bose Portable Speaker for Christmas along with an ipod - had it going that morning and it is just amazing - First Bose Product I've ever owned, but have heard all my adult life how great they are from others - now I'm convinced - soooooo user friendly and the sound is just amazing! LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

I bought the portable Bose SoundDock in Black. It was very easy to use however 2nd generation IPOD Touch users beware. First the sound is great as you would expect from Bose. However, the IPOD Touch fits the adapter very loosely and reboots each and every time you touch the screen on the Touch. This thing has no support for the back of the IPOD and I was afraid I would break either the IPOD or the Bose SoundDock. What poor design. Second the remote would only allow volume control. No other IPOD function would work, not even the power off. This thing went back to the store immediately.

I LOVE this product!! Just bought it a few days ago and I cannot stop listening to it. The sound is beautiful, I am amazed how such a tiny player can produce such powerful sound.
Kudos to the guys at Bose. Yeah it's expensive but totally worth it.
