I found the same issues as the previous commenter. I can sometimes get the video to work after many tries, but then stops after a few seconds. Audio works most of the time. I tried with both iPhone 3G's in our household and with two different TV's.

I should have known it was too cheap to believe. Will be asking for a refund.

**Update: Have since researched that the iPhone 3G Firmware 2.2 broke these cables ability to work. Now will wait for SF Planet to respond whether they have the correct cables to replace or will offer a FULL refund including shipping. They should have known about this compatibility issue for a few weeks now and need to update their production description. Will update again when they respond to my RMA email.

Yup, I got suckered into buying this since it said it worked with iPhone 3G. After researching why it actually wasn't working once I got it, I found out that you need a proprietary composite cable FROM APPLE to make this work. Actually, let me clarify, it does transmit audio to the television, but no video and the cable does tend to work every 10th or 11th time, but drops the video signal after a few seconds.

"Component Video" means three video cables. If this adaptor really is "Component Video" it would have five cables, three video and two audio.

Don't be fooled.
