Very Disappointed - Bad Film and Not Mirrored! January 6, 2009

I had the same experience as earlier reviewers. The film screen cover did not adhere properly. The paper label guide did not come off the film screen easily, leaving a lot of glue and scratches. The film does not lay flat. There were many bubbles that can not be totally removed. By the time I was done trying, the film was full of scratches and a large kink. Biggest disappointment - the film cover is not mirrored as advertised. I must be missing something, it's totally clear! I am very disappointed in Griffin. Do not buy this product.

I purchased this case for an ipod touch 2g received as a Christmas gift. The case looks sharp and seems sturdy enough. I opened it with a coin to see if it cracked (based on an earlier review), and it opened and snapped closed again without issues. My problem with this item is the screen protector. There is a paper tab to peel off, and when I peeled it, the glue remained on the protector. This necessitated some scraping, and the cover now doesn't adhere to the ipod in that area. There are also a multitude of bubbles that seem to be resident. If you purchase this case, you may need to be prepared to make an additional screen protector purchase.

Weak Plastic. Do Not Remove Once Installed. December 29, 2008

I purchased this case because it was reflective and a hard case. The case did snap securely on the Itouch, but when I attempted to remove it so the Itouch could be docked, it cracked in two different places. The plastic around the buttons on the sides of the Itouch is thin and weak. I would recommend a case that easier to remove or has a bottom that slides off when you need to dock your unit.

I bought this for my wife's iPod Touch 2g, remember it's 2g (second generation) touch only.

It fits great, doesn't move around in the case, I think it looks very nice as well, without increasing the profile of the iPod that much.

She hasn't dropped or smashed her iPod yet, but if she does I'll let everyone know how it holds up. ;)

My only complaint was with the screen, I for the life of me could not get the bubbles out, I popped it off and reapplied it a couple times, no dice. It's not rocket science, I've put film on my phones etc without issue...I don't know how "film technology" differs, but this one just didn't seem to work very well. Prior to that I had cleaned the screen with the soft cloth that comes with it... Anyways not a huge deal, you can get a film cover anywhere fairly cheap, what I wanted was the case and the case is great.

It appears to be flimsy right out of the box but once connected to the ipod it is quite sturdy and doesn't deter from the sleek design of the touch...It's simple. I like it.
