3 out of 5 stars Decent headphones   January 1, 2009
Melissa L. Stine (pennsylvania)
I got these headphones because i though they were a good set due to JBL being a very good audio company. I was impresses at first but now that i have the zune prenium v2 headphones these are not all as good as i thought. I would recommend the zune prenium v2 headphones over these anyday. These have decent bass, and good sound canceling but not as good as the zune ones. Also the zune v2's are cheaper or were but the JBL are not bad if you are looking for decent pair of headphones.

4 out of 5 stars generally a nice headset   December 12, 2008
Gary (Chicago)
I needed a set of headsets that would let me listen to music without disturbing other people around me. These fit the bill even when the volume is turned up pretty high. I can lay next to my g/f and listen to music at night while she sleeps right next to me. They are also great for those of you that take the train or bus and want to block any outside noise; and at the same time not bother those sitting near you. The sound is not bad. They take a few weeks to break-in; both musically and fit wise. The weak spot to them was at the plug area. I use mine for other activities and I had to replace a set because the sound would go in and out due to a problem where the plug meets the music player (Zune). Overall a good product. They are worth the price because I spent almost 3X the price when they first came out. They are the exact same set as some AKG's which are much more pricier because JBL is now the same company as AKG all under the Harman Kardon auspices.... Get them and enjoy.

4 out of 5 stars Good Sound, Poor Build   November 23, 2008
Garth Fernandes (Doha, Qatar)
I had to battle with myself when writing this review, as I could not decide whether to give it 4 or 5 stars? Having read the mixed reviews on Amazon, I decided to go for one for the simple reason that I have owned many JBL products and they don't disappoint. Sound quality of the headphones is excellent whether you are using it with an IPOD or with a computer doesn't make much of a difference. JBL delivers good sound quality for a fraction of the cost of Bose or any other leading brand. The reason I had to knock down the rating is based purely on the build quality. The moment I took it out of the box, I thought it would fall to bits in my hand. It has these flimsy plastic bits connecting the head-strap to the headphones and I am sure that I will snap them in the next few months if not sooner. Folding the headphones to store them needs a degree in engineering and lots of imagination. If you want good sound quality at a cheap price then get the JBL.

4 out of 5 stars Overal speaking, very good headphone!   November 1, 2008

A very good headphone. Good quality.

The only weakness is it is too tight for longtime wearing.
