Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Enjoy audiophile grade sound reproduction from your iPhone without sacrificing the ability to make or receive calls and control your music. The ProCable In-Ear Headset provides a clean and focused listening experience by insulating the wearer from outside sound and noise thanks to their super-soft, ear canal sealing, replaceable ear tips. The ProCable headset improves on typical isolation-type phones by employing a unique sound valve that opens a pathway in each earpiece to allow ambient sound to enter and be heard when the music volume falls below 40 dB.

2 out of 5 stars Comfortable but fragile, and now broken.   December 30, 2008
Christina (Portland, OR)
I liked these headphones at first. They were way more comfortable than the iphone headphones that come with the phone. Unfortunately after a couple weeks in my purse the microphone broke. The plastic disconnected from the aluminum part and the wires are exposed. It was good while it lasted, but now I'm looking for another set of earphones.

2 out of 5 stars muffled sound, strange design & shoddy construction   December 24, 2008
scientific illustrator (Chicago, IL United States)
My two-star rating is generous. These headphones are flat out annoying. The left earbud is 2/3 shorter than the right and feels really lopsided as a result. It also falls out because it's constantly getting tugged if you move your head.

The earbuds block out all the sound around you, which in theory could be a good thing, but in practice amplifies your own voice and prevents you from hearing what's going on around you (dangerous when driving or walking).

As for the construction, I've had them for probably a month now and the casing that covers the mic and the on/off switch has separated from the wires exposing the chip inside. Wohn wohn.

3 out of 5 stars NOT So Ggreat set Up   December 10, 2008

This headphones sound and feel great in the ears. They block out alot of outside noise. The only problem with them is that starting from the microphone piece one side is about 5 inches long and the other side is over a foot long. This set up is horrible. I would never have purchased these headphone if I new they were like this. This difference in length cuases them to fall out constantly, feel awkward, and look ugly.

1 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed   December 10, 2008
R. Cook (Dallas, TX)
Not only was the audio quality poor, the microphone barely functioned. Anyone I called could not clearly hear me and there was considerable interference in the audio while on a call.

I found this exact same headset at Frys for $9.99

I submitted an RMA which was never processed, I was never contacted, and the RMA status link they sent me now reports that the request no longer exists.

4 out of 5 stars Great sound   November 4, 2008

Just received these in the mail, been listening with them for over an hour with my iPhone. The sound quality is very clear - no muffling, and the bass is deep. The speakers are much larger than other earbuds I've owned - maybe that contributes to the great low frequency response. Being aluminum, they actually feel cold in my ears, and I'm not a big fan of the asymetric cord design (one earpiece cord shorter than the other). Overall though, I'm happy with the purchase.
