4 out of 5 stars Full spectrum earphones   October 14, 2008
kv (Old Bridge, NJ United States)
Pros:
- Excellent bass reproduction; in line with Bose's other products
- Beats the similarly priced Shure EC2s, which has a flatter response
- Incredibly comfortable
- Closest sound reproduction to my large-sized AKG 240 headphones, which has satisfied me for years
- Free replacement tips upon registering
Cons:
- It's not a noise-canceller, so your music will compete with your surroundings. Not good in planes, trains or automobiles. Ideal situations would be in the office, while in bed, etc.
- Cable material is too rubbery, so untangling can be a hassle; plus it's too long
- To add to the cable length's awkwardness, there's a M&M Peanut-sized protrusion near the jack side
- The accompanying case has nothing inside to wind the cable, so tangling is not solved. I use my Shure case instead.
Conclusion:
- Since it sounds so good, I'm willing to tolerate the shortcomings of the long cable.

4 out of 5 stars Good, not enough trebble   October 12, 2008

Could use some more highs, but the lows are solid. Very comfortable, stay in ear just fine while staying still. The wires stick to your clothing so if you move around, it tends to pull them out of your ear. Gets annoying, but still a good set of earphones.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome headphones!   October 11, 2008

This is a great buy for people like me who love their iPods. Great sound, great quality, and very comfortable. My only complaint is the very long cord, but that's no biggie - it comes with a clip.

4 out of 5 stars Good sound quality. Very pleased.   October 10, 2008

These earbuds are great. Mine stay put. I think the falling out problem occurs with earlier models. If the cord of your Bose is black and white then more than likely you are usuing an updated model. Earbuds come with three different size ear piece adaptors to ensure the right fit.

The sound quality is excellent. Best quality for price I have come across in a while.

I bought a pair of Shure in-earbuds for one and a half the price of these Bose (I can't bring myself to type the price) and they cannot be compared. The Shure hurt my ears so much I couldn't enjoy the sound.

Thank you Bose.

1 out of 5 stars Garbage   October 7, 2008

I got these headphones because I thought Bose would have excellent sound quality and comfort... I WAS WRONG! They do not stay in my ears when I am sitting down let alone when I am walking about town. Forget even bothering with trying to use them while you jog or do any excercise at all. These are the most uncomfortable ear buds since I purchased the $ 10 Sony ear buds from the airport.

Sound quality is good if you can keep them in your ears, but if they turn just a bit the sound quality goes way down and you have to constantly adjust them to even hear the music with the volume at 80 percent.

Another issue is that these do not cancel background sound out at all. I guess Bose really wanted everyone to pay top dollar for the larger over the ear versions.

If you are going to buy headphones that cost $ 99 then may I suggest Shure because theirs are fantastic. I use the Bose ear buds as my back up pair of ear buds now.
