1 out of 5 stars This is the Worst   September 10, 2008

This product is the worst FM transmitter on the market. I do like the brand but that particular one that should have left on the self. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT>

1 out of 5 stars At least this piece of junk was free...   August 13, 2008
B. Shutes (Sharpsville, PA United States)
I bought an older model Kensington transmitter last fall when I got my new iPod and for about 9 months it worked like a dream. Sure, you had to search for a new station every now and then, but it did what it was supposed to do.

Then the stupid thing stopped playing through my front driver side speaker. All three other speakers played fine (*and with radio and CD all four are perfect), but with the glories of stereo sound, having one channel not play was a problem.

I was sent this model as a free replacement after first speaking to a tremendously unhelpful customer service rep off in India who claimed my first transmitter wasn't even compatible with the 80G iPod classic I have. Of course, she was wrong, something confirmed by the email customer service. (Nota bene: if you need to deal with these idiots at Kensington, just use the email and save yourself a lot of headache).

So this piece arrived today. I'd read the reviews on here and knew I wasn't getting much of anything for free - buy hey, they gave me a replacement after admitting their fault (so I'll give them that for credit.)

This thing is total junk. Sitting in my driveway scanning through my usual "best" stations for the iPod I was confronted with overwhelming static and poor sound. I don't know which is worse - crunchy sound or a missing channel. I'm thinking the channel.

One thing is sure - next time I'm buying from a different company...

1 out of 5 stars Kensington LiquidFM Transmitter for ipod   June 18, 2008
Mark A. Noetzel
I found the quality of the reception for this device to be well below the quality of others. The older Kensington model that I have for another vehicle worked extremely well and I wish I would have purchased that one instead.

1 out of 5 stars Not pleased !   May 17, 2008
J. Boyrard
Not pleased ith this at all. I much rather the model before this one. It pickes up signals that is should not and the sound quality is terrible. I have the same cr and drive the same roues as with the one I have before and the difference is very noticible. I don't even use it anymore.

1 out of 5 stars Terrible Product   April 23, 2008
S. Connelly
Clearly inferior in performance than Kensington's older, discontinued model that came in white--model number 33185. Static and hissing was too great to hear anything comfortably. I returned this and found the older model online and bought it. Now I couldn't be happier.
