4gb The screen went blank after 1 week November 21, 2008

I purchased a 16gb while my husband purchased the 4gb player, after 1week the screen on the 4gb went BLANK. I have an 30g Ipod 5th generation and decided to purchcase the 16gb mp4 player for about $72 because of the ease of file conversion and the supposedly longer battery life, however it wasn't as easy as they claim and so far I've only been able to play avi files only. And thats only after I downloaded a file converter, and even then, I will sometimes get a file error message! The battery lasts about 2hrs when watching a video(I was told 5 hrs). I havent tested it when listening to music only because I purchased it to watch videos while I'm walking on the treadmill. The screen size is a plus and the screen resolution is Ok. I noticed one of the other reviewers had trouble with the touch screen, but my 16gb is pretty good in this area. I love the concept of this player and so did my husband before his screen went blank, but because of the poor warranty or no warranty on this product,and the limited technical support for this player I would be a little hesitant about purchasing it.

Awesome in Every Way! Not a SINGLE problem. November 13, 2008

I received this item, wary of some complaints customers have had, and let me say: This thing rocks! It packs an amazing amount of features for the price. I've already beat the thing to heck in back (Had a hard crash on my PC while it was still plugged in) and it works great. Never freezes, touchscreen has good sensitivity (after calibration).

The battery charger is quick and easy to use, the video converting software from the company website is lightweight and does it's job. The video playback quality is great, and the included earbuds are good as well. The only con is the external speaker (not that good) but I never use that anyway.

I really like how simple it is to load music, plug it in, then drag and drop MP3 files. No special software needed.

If you are thinking about buying this but are scared by some of the bad reviews - get it. This isn't a $300 iPod touch, so don't expect one. This is an inexpensive awesome touchscreen media player.

I purchased this product a while ago and returned it promptly. Customer support was childish but very quick.

My main issues with this procduct were:

1:) Very poor sound quality. The 1/8th phono jack output was terrible. No matter how I adjusted, the sound quality was muted, and overly tinny. The external speaker was unusable.

2:) While the LCD quality seemed ok, I had many issues with video conversion and playback. Screen sensitivity ranged from quick to slow.

Overall fit and finish was very poor, typical of generic rockfish equipped "MP4" players.

Save your money for something better. Creative and Samsung have FAR superior offerings for a bit more.

if you are looking for a player that may not be the latest and slickest, but has plenty of features. This is a good little player at a great price with great support. Sound is very good, quality of pictures and video is good.

As many mention, the video conversion software provided needs updating (availabe on the company website). My e-mail query to them was answered immediately and was most friendly.

Major selling point to me is it does not require recent (or really any) version of Windows Media player. Which means I can load whatever I want and not have to dance through Microsoft hoops to hear my tunes.

There may be other players out there that are more loaded and sexy and probably smoother, but this one does all I need and then some. And I have enough money left over to buy another one for a friend.

I bought it for my daughter's birthday gift. Unfortunately the item I ordered first was lost during its delivering. Right after I knew it is lost, I contacted customer service of this company. Their action was really good, and quick. They responded my question within 10 minutes, and tried to help me a lot. The company sent a new mp3 for lost one, and I got it yesterday. My daughter is really enjoying with playing it. Though there were some troubles in getting useed it, their quick answer solved all problems I had. It is an awsome customer service. It is really good.
