4 out of 5 stars Excellent   November 29, 2008
Todd S.
I Bought this album because of the song "Sleeping Sickness". The rest of the album doesn't fall short either. If you like Dallas Green's melodramatic voice, you'll love this album. In addition, I downloaded the mp3 album for $1.99... that's right $1.99. It's the best money I've spent in long time.

4 out of 5 stars dallas green has such an amazing voice   September 29, 2008
hellomehelloyou (new jersey)
i was introduced to City and Colour by a close friend. he sent me the song "forgive me" through youtube and i fell in love with it. i went to myspace and looked up the artist to find i loved his voice. i seemed to like a large majority of the music for this album so i listened to all i could. my favorite songs are "forgive me"[naturally], "confessions", and "as much as i ever could", which happens to be my overall favorite of the three. the album is worth it, so if you have the slightest feel to buy, go ahead, i back you up completely.

4 out of 5 stars I really dig it...   July 17, 2008
S. Kingsley (Wixom, MI)
I have always loved Dallas Green's voice, so I have no complaints here. His soft, feathery voice is soothing. The songs are a bit melancholy, but overall enjoyable.

5 out of 5 stars Spellbinding, Relaxing, and overall, Amazing.   May 16, 2008
Denzel Lockheart (Edmonton, Canada)
If you want real laid back, mellow, great acoustic music, look no further than Dallas Green, AKA City and Colour. The Canadian folk-meets-alternative musician creates an entire album of mellow songs, and they're ALL amazing.

BEST TRACKS:
-Body in A Box
-Confessions
-Forgive Me
-Sleeping Sickness
-What Makes A Man

I am seeing him on May 28th at the Jubilee Auditorium. I have seen him live when he was in Alexisonfire, and that was an amazing show (If you're into punk, check out Alexisonfire, they rock as much as Dallas alone). Granted, this is gonna be an amazing concert.

If you're looking for something different, then buy this NOW!!! What are you waiting for?

5 out of 5 stars Dallas Green = Great Voice   April 14, 2008
Thomas Batson (Anderson, SC USA)
Having listened to "Sometimes" by City and Colour(Dallas Green) over and over, I was eagerly awaiting the release of his next solo project. When "Bring Me Your Love" arrived, I was definately not disappointed. For those that listened to his debut solo effort, "BMYL" may come across as a bit of a different sound, one with a bit more folk-ish vibe to it. What remains constant though, regardless of the music stylings, is Dallas Green's fantastic, melodious voice. Such a bright contrast to his Alexisonfire music, and a welcome change. "Bring Me Your Love" is a further extension of "Sometimes" that lets Green's vocals shine as the primary trait in every song. The strongest tracks IMO are:

#1) Sleeping Sickness - Green teams with Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie to produce a masterpiece here. The vocal contrast makes the song shine.

#2) Constant Knot - Dallas Green and a guitar, great music in its simplest form

#3) What Makes a Man? - Poignant reflection on life.

All of the tracks are fantastic, and any fan of music in its simplest form will enjoy the sophomore solo effort from Dallas Green
