5 out of 5 stars Great change of pace   September 8, 2008
Timothy W. Kyle (Portage, MI USA)
I decided to finally listen to a bunch of the free download songs that Amazon has been giving away, and I have to say that while I was expecting very little and have little to no interest in dance/dj music, this one really impressed me.

It isn't the stellar musicianship (pretty basic, actually) or the arrangement that makes this work. Actually, I'm not really sure why it does, but it REALLY does. Smooth, gentle, relaxing....it slowly and hypnotically gets into your head and you don't want it to stop. I think that I listened to it 6 times before I realized what I was doing.

As others have mentioned, I wish it was longer. This could have gone on for 15-20 minutes and I would not have minded. I have never heard Quantic before, but if this is any representation of their catalog, I am really looking forward to hearing more.

5 out of 5 stars Pretty awesome stuff right here   September 6, 2008

It's very unintrusive so it works really well for just setting on and chilling. Definitely makes me want to check out the rest of the album; if it is as great as this, then I'd like to just have it as something to just set on and listen to while I work at my computer.

The one criticism I would make is on the length -- unless it is meant to just be a section in the album as one coherent piece, this could stand to go on a few minutes longer just so you can have it as a song you can just set and forget for a while.

5 out of 5 stars John Cage Would Be Proud!   August 21, 2008

Minimalism at a very good level! I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. But this album uses electronic looping (heard in 95% of popular music) in a very artistic way. I think this is something new, unique and just good music! Only complaint is that I'd like the track to have been a but longer.

I like this song, laid back cool jazz, I'll check out the rest of the bands songs, because of it. Nice backround music if you're making a video.

I just listened to this song and I really can't think of anything to say about it. I can't remember it. Let's see, the brass figure that appears midway was a pleasant relief from the ennui. Ho hum.
